Guidelines for Contributors

Dear Residents, 

We are overwhelmed with the response you have given us for our first edition and hope that you will continue this support. We are happy to inform you that we are bringing a concept of the submission of articles, art works, photography, poetry etc. by our own beloved residents.

You can write up an article, a poem, make drawings and send it to the editors of this magazine. You can also approach Shilpi Aunty, Antara Aunty or Sujit Uncle for the same.

Before you all get ready to bring your pens and pencils, I would like to add some points which are needed for you to keep in mind before the submission.

ARTICLES

  1. The article should be relevant to GV or E-City.
  2. The article should be original.
  3. The word limit for Articles should be max. 500 words
  4. Your content should match the title.
  5. The article should be age appropriate for kids.

DRAWINGS, PHOTOGRAPHY AND OTHER ART WORKS

  1. The submitted photo of your drawing should be of good quality.
  2. Your Photography should be original. 
  3. The photograph of the artwork should be taken under good lighting conditions. The image should be crystal clear.
  4. The complete artwork should be uniformly illuminated.
  5. The camera used for taking the photograph should look at a right angle to the surface of the artwork.
  6. The artwork paper shouldn't be folded, creased, crumpled or mutilated at the time of taking the photo.
  7. There should be no shadows falling on the artwork. The photograph should be upright.
  8. The topic chosen should be relevant to GV or E-City. Incase of photography, it can be of our own society!
  9. Editing of the photograph should be normal, it should not be edited by using photograph filter

Editorial - Volume 3

Dear young readers, Welcome to the third edition of Hapagazine. Among the colourful flowers in this bouquet we have the regular fun corner , an interview with an inspiring resident, a feature on a cute canine resident, and a number of poems and essays from some of our budding authors of GV among others. We held an essay competition for kids on October 16. We are excited to bring to you the winning entries. We live in strange times. The pandemic continues to play hide and seek with us. There are signs of the world slowly walking back to ‘normal’ – a word whose meaning is changing everyday at a dizzying speed. In this rapidly evolving scene, their academic and other responsibilities, our little editors have continued to work hard to bring together this volume for you all. I had already taught my own children and I shifted to kindergarten teaching because I loved it What kind of relation did you have with your students and how did you deal with difficulty with concepts and exams?
