A New Day

Agamya Chandra   The yellow light of the Sun’s rays Brings a delightful hope to start a splendid day The horizon that touches the mountains and skies Please my eyes to drive out high Out in the world, I glide for a ride To search in the maze, which way to go left or right I wonder in cities what’ll the petrichor smell be Where here I can smell everything, I see The fragrance of the flowers touches my heart That makes me draw a beautiful flower on a chart I wonder in thoughts, what’s above the sky That makes the earth very attractive and nice My mind racing like a scenery it’ll be Oh! How beautiful it is, butterflies in the flee This world is of pleasant surprises as I can see And I am very sure every-one agrees

How to Become a Multi-talented Prodigy?

Image
Vigyan Chakrabarti A multi talented prodigy is a person who has numerous talents and is good in all of them. All parents expect their kids to become a multi-talented prodigy. There are two things to be learned if you want a multi-talented prodigy. Both things are equally important.  The first thing is adaptation. You should be able to learn the things that are discussed with you. This has two advantages. Firstly,  you will gain some knowledge while discussing. Secondly, it will make the person you are discussing happy that you are listening to them. But you should know when to stop expanding your qualities because if there are too many qualities then it will make it harder for you to spend even some time in a single activity.  The second thing to learn is hard work. You should spend adequate time for an activity so that you go one level deeper into the subject.  It will only happen if you start learning from books or places which are not routine or given as part of c...

As One Journey Ends, Another Begins

Image
Life is a circle, the end of one journey is the beginning of the next - Joseph M. Marshal II I was studying in grade 7. That year I did not have pressure of scoring marks or studying. We had selections for football team that year. I and my friends went for it  as always . I had played for my school twice. We were looking good that day. We scored, got appreciated too! After few weeks, the list of players was released. We were surprised as we were not selected; three students had replaced us. We did not want to argue. Our school was participating in that tournament in Mysore. All my friends got disappointed and sad. One of them cried and I also had tears in my eyes. Finally, our school chose the squad and left for Mysore. We were sitting in our classrooms hoping that we would get selected one day. Our school lost that tournament. In the next academic year, selections were opened again. This time we were selected. Although I did not get enough time to play, but I was th...

Lockdown Timepass

Image
In this pandemic, many people seem to get bored because they can not not think of things to do. But actually, you can do many things which could not be done in normal days. I did sketching, which I was not even sure if it was easy or not for me. But after a few sketches, I felt that it was very easy. And I bet, you would also be able to do it. Many people might have learnt cooking during lockdown. Well, I learned how to make chocolate brownies, cakes and cupcakes. Many a time, I do icing on them too. A little time goes in watering the plants. It's fun to see the flowers and leaves which are grown. Have you ever had your own home garden? If not, then I tell you that it feels so nice to have it! First thing to have it is that, you get lots of greenery and fresh air in your house. And the best time to have your home garden is this pandemic because you can very well take good care of your plants. You can even have your own kitchen garden. In this you can grow fruits and vegetables. And...

Harshini Sharma Hi, I am Harshini and I Study in class VII in DPS. I am an editor of Hapagazine. My Pet Gogo

Image
Vedanshi Ranakoti Corona virus has tested our patience badly. So, when we grew bored and tired at home. In February 2021, we decided to adopt a pet. It was difficult choosing one. We took suggestions from our friends and they all suggested that we should adopt a rabbit. So, we did. To start with, if you want a pet who is not so difficult to handle, I will say it’s a rabbit. We bought a male, which are also called “buck”. We named him Gogo. There were a few things I noticed about him like we do not need to bathe it; it does its cleaning on its own. The cutest part comes when Gogo grabs his ears and brings them down across his face. You are actually watching its ears being washed. Sometimes, he makes enthusiastic leaps in the air where he twists and turns and kicks and jumps in mid-air. This is called “binky” -- rabbits perform it when they are happy. When anyone says the word “rabbit”, the first thing that comes to our mind is a rabbit eating a carrot. Well! guess what? Gogo does no...
