My Pet Gogo
Vedanshi Ranakoti
Corona virus has tested our patience badly. So, when we grew bored and tired at home. In February 2021, we decided to adopt a pet. It was difficult choosing one. We took suggestions from our friends and they all suggested that we should adopt a rabbit. So, we did. To start with, if you want a pet who is not so difficult to handle, I will say it’s a rabbit. We bought a male, which are also called “buck”. We named him Gogo.
When anyone says the word “rabbit”,
the first thing that comes to our mind is a rabbit eating a carrot. Well! guess what? Gogo does not eat carrots at all!. Gogo’s main food is green
leaves. He eats so much green leaves that he ate all the plants in our garden!
I got to know a lot of things I never knew about rabbits. Gogo drinks very little water; his body extracts fluid from all the vegetables and fruits he eats. All
animals make some or the other sound, but the rabbit comes in the category
which make no sound at all. As his fur is very soft, my brother chases him in
the house to touch his fur (he is very scared of my brother) but Gogo is very
fast so, very difficult to catch.
As they say, exercise is good for everyone when Gogo comes out, he always stretches. Along with fun comes responsibilities. His grooming needs to be done that is trimming his nails, hair etc., giving him food, his excretions need to be cleaned and so on. Now that my brother and I have a lot of work to do, we do not feel bored anymore. I think adopting a pet was the best decision we made!
Wow Vedanshi. I did not know that Rabbits do not make sound. Thanks for the informative article.
