Editorial - Volume 3

Dear young readers, Welcome to the third edition of Hapagazine. Among the colourful flowers in this bouquet we have the regular fun corner , an interview with an inspiring resident, a feature on a cute canine resident, and a number of poems and essays from some of our budding authors of GV among others. We held an essay competition for kids on October 16. We are excited to bring to you the winning entries. We live in strange times. The pandemic continues to play hide and seek with us. There are signs of the world slowly walking back to ‘normal’ – a word whose meaning is changing everyday at a dizzying speed. In this rapidly evolving scene, their academic and other responsibilities, our little editors have continued to work hard to bring together this volume for you all. I hope you enjoy reading this volume as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you! For Hapagazine, it’s always ‘the more the merrier!’ We take this opportunity to invite more kids in Ganga Vertica to join us in the...

The role of friends in life

Rishabh Ranjan As we all know, friends are people who like to spend time with you, chat with you, and have fun. But, sometimes we just want to listen to ourselves and not to our friends. This results in arguments and many fights. We all need to know how important they are in life. Fight for you. Friends always hate when someone says bad things about you or hurts you. You also hate it when something happens to your friends. We all value our friends. Respect you. A true friend always lets you share your thoughts. They always want to know if you are well. They always like to play with you, whether it be sports on a sunny day or video on a rainy day. Ideal situation or bad, always stay together. We know that the current situation is a time of unity. Only real friends would like to still give you as much as they used to give. Enjoy their time with you. All friends have fun with you. They can relate to you, help you and love it! New friends or old, they treat you the same. A lot of peopl...

Mr Fourth Quarter

Priyanshu Sharma Hi, I am Priyanshu from A-211 and I am here to talk about my experience with Basketball. Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world with millions of people watching the NBA every year. It is also one of my favorite sports to watch and play. 5 players in each team try to score as many points as possible while the other team tries to stop them from doing so . A basketball match is 48 mins long divided into 4 quarters of 12 mins each and the players have to score on a hoop placed 10 FT high. While I was playing football in 11th grade, The basketball teacher noticed that I was taller than the others playing football and he asked if I was interested in playing for the school team. When I started playing I was told that I will be playing as a substitute because the starters were already selected. I was selected to play the Small Forward position because when I joined i was known for my defensive ability and later after some practice, I became good at shooting ...

Book review- Grandma’s bag of stories by Sudha Murty

Harshini Sharma Hi I am Harshini Sharma of hapagazine here to write about a book I personally love this book. In this book there are four children Raghu, Meena, Anand and Krishna. They have their summer holidays and are going to their grandparents. They were so excited to meet them they couldn’t wait. When they arrived they asked ajji to tell stories. so she said many stories and I loved it. You should read this book in my opinion. It is like I am the children and imagining it in real life. It is the best book I have read in my life. And there is no age limit anybody can read it. It feels like my grandparents are reading it to me. My favorite stories were the enchanted scorpions, the princess new clothes, the donkey and the stick and the story of paan. There are a lot of morals too. Thank you sudha murty for making such a lovely and wonderful book.

Interview - Volume 3

Vigyan Chakrabarti Interview with Jayshree dadi  What job did you do and why did you choose it? I had already taught my own children and I shifted to kindergarten teaching because I loved it What kind of relation did you have with your students and how did you deal with difficulty with concepts and exams? I used to teach LKG and since the children were just leaving the security of there parents I had to make them feel comfortable. Just because they were LKG children I could not take them lightly and that's why I used to go completely prepared about what concepts I was going to teach and what activities I wanted to conduct. Since they were small children it was difficult to get there attention therefore I had to dramatize the concepts as much as possible. We had been given a special training for that. Did you have any idea about what job you were going to do and did you have any childish thoughts about what job you were going to do? I was a housewife and I took up teaching because m...
